Eirini Margariti was born in Athens in 1979. She is a trained actress and director. Her first poetry collection Flamingo (Melani, 2014) won the award "Giannis Varveris" by the Hellenic Authors Society for Best Newcomer Poet (2015). Flamingo was also nominated for other literary awards.
